Job Description

One Heart Apparel and Contract Embroidery in Lafayette, TN is looking for a motivated individual who is driven to grow into an Assistant Plant Manager position.

We are one of Middle Tennessee’s leading apparel decorators with a state of the art facility and an impressive list of clients who have come to depend on our exceptional customer service, creative designs, and fast turnaround times. In this role, you will be hands on, learning both the front office and plant operations, which include commercial embroidery machines, and cutting edge, user friendly embroidery design software. A great assistant manager is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and implement your newly acquired skill set. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits. Skills that will be acquired during the apprenticeship period:

  • Experience as a machine operator
  • Understanding of production procedures
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Time and Task Management (ability to work independently and manage a calendar)
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength (Standing)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
  • Embroidery experience a plus
  • Computer Skills
  • Customer Service Skills

Training will be offered, and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Checking email
  • Filling online orders
  • Answering the phone
  • Assisting customers
  • Preparing embroidery orders
  • Preparing sewing orders
  • Commercial Embroidery
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • Filing/Scanning/Uploading to Online Server
  • Making deliveries
  • Fabric Cutting
  • Additional duties pertaining to management.


Job Types: Part-Time/Full-time

Pay: $8.50 – $10.50 per hour depending on experience
